GERSON LAW FIRM APC began the last quarter of 2009 coordinating receiverships from Pennsylvania to California, and engineering loan loss mitigation strategies in other states as well for its national and local clients.
During a month where headlines showed signs of an improved economy in some sectors, commercial real estate woes continued to grow. Called to action, GLF co-counseled a receivership action over 8 former Uni-Mart gas station locations throughout the state of Pennsylvania. GLF also represented clients having receivers appointed for multifamily properties in two different cases in San Bernardino County, California, and an office building in downtown San Diego. At the same time, GLF coordinated loan loss mitigation strategies on other commercial real estate loans in Arizona and Michigan. On the receivership front, Gordon L. Gerson also spoke at a seminar on receiverships presented by the San Diego Chapter of the California Receivers Forum, and at the annual national Trigild Conference on receiverships.
In addition to receivership actions, GLF creditor rights group was also involved in a number of other actions with successful results for clients, including several commercial eviction proceedings.
