HARVEY S. LICHTERMAN

Harvey Lichterman joined GERSON LAW FIRM APC in April, 2004. Mr. Lichterman, who is licensed in Illinois, established an extensive real estate practice with the Chicago law firm of Lord, Bissell & Brook. He was the Managing Partner and head of the Real Estate Department of that firm, which also has offices in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta and London.

Mr. Lichterman has a national real estate transactional practice and has been engaged in the acquisition, development and sale of numerous properties and developments throughout the United States. He has extensive experience representing residential, commercial and industrial developers, and he has personally handled the syndications of numerous medical office buildings. He also has represented banks, life insurance companies and other financial institutions in loan participations, mortgage backed securitizations and all types of acquisition, construction, mezzanine and permanent loan financings. Since his practice has extended over numerous business cycles, Mr. Lichterman has also handled workouts, default and rescue transactions, as well as foreclosures, for both lender and developer clients.

Mr. Lichterman has also advised the principals and handled all the real estate needs of a residential building company, which grew from a single city operation with annual sales of less than $10 million, to a multi-state business with annual sales in excess of $340 million. He currently serves on the board of directors of this company. He also has extensive experience in condominium development and conversions, and has represented numerous landlords and tenants in leases of office and industrial buildings and shopping centers.

Mr. Lichterman received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Michigan in 1962, with high honors and distinction, including membership in Phi Beta Kappa. He received his law degree from Harvard Law School, cum laude, in 1965. He was admitted to the Illinois State Bar and the Seventh Federal District Court in 1965. Although still a fairly new California resident, Mr. Lichterman currently serves on the board, and is the president, of his condominium association in Carlsbad, California.
