NEWS August 2004 Commerical Deal Makers' Forum Sponsored by Gerson Law Firm APC GERSON LAW FIRM APC is co-sponsoring with First American Title Company and Severson & Werson, the California Mortgage Bankers Association 2004 Commercial Deal Maker's Forum. This third annual event presented by the CMBA will have as its theme, "Hot Topics on the Closings Checklist". The program will be held in Southern California on Friday, September 10, 2004, at First American Title Company in Santa Ana, California, and on September 20, 2004, at the Carnelian Room in the Bank of America building in San Francisco, California. Gordon L. Gerson will be moderating a panel discussion relating to tenant issues that arise in commercial loan closings. Special emphasis will be given on preparation of lease abstracts, as well as preparation and negotiation of estoppel certificates and subordination and non-disturbance agreements. Also discussed will be various reserve agreements and other security enhancements required in connection with loan closings as a result of tenant issues identified in the underwriting or closing process. GERSON LAW FIRM APC represents national lenders on loan closings, special servicing, and enforcement proceedings throughout the United States.
