GERSON LAW FIRM APC represented a Fannie Mae DUS lender and a Freddie Mac Program Plus lender closing six multifamily loans throughout California, Texas and Utah during December 2008, for more than $35,000,000. During a year in which capital markets shut down on commercial lending, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and credit union clients represented by GLF provided financing for those who would be otherwise sidelined by now dormant or discontinued CMBS programs, and other lenders whose capital or appetite for commercial lending was curtailed.

GLF balanced client needs with celebrations of the holiday season, including Gordon L. Gerson’s volunteer efforts as a member of the Red Coat Committee for San Diego’s Poinsettia Bowl and Holiday Bowl. Gerson was at both the Sheraton Hotel and Marina and the Manchester Hyatt on Christmas night to greet both the team members and coaching staffs of Oklahoma State and University of Oregon on their San Diego arrival for the Holiday Bowl game played on December 30, 2008, and engaged in other hospitality efforts for these teams that week. He engaged in similar activities during the prior week for Texas Christian University and Boise State on their visit to San Diego for the Poinsettia Bowl.
