GERSON LAW FIRM APC continued to meet the increasing demand for experienced counsel in receivership litigation during the third quarter.
GLF has been engaged on successful receivership litigation throughout the United States in 2009. During August 2009, it again succeeded in having a receiver appointed on multifamily income producing property at Mammoth Mountain Ski resort in California. Adding to its list of out of state actions, in August 2009, it also acted as co counsel for a receivership appointment in Ohio.
“We are fast, faster and fastest among law firms in receivership litigation,” said Gordon L. Gerson. “We have also spent the summer designing proprietary software which will enable us to move at a speed not previously known by most financial institutions.”
Gerson, who frequently writes and speaks on issues of importance to the lending industry, notes that there are newcomers to receivership work — lawyers, receivers and property managers — but those with experience from prior down cycles, provide “depth, breadth and heft.” Gerson handled his first receivership litigation in the economic down turn of the early 1980s, and has been part of his core practice area; and is therefore sought by California institutions, in some instances, to co counsel or supervise out of state counsel on actions throughout the United States. Mark Claremont of GLF has been instrumental in having receivers appointed in many of GLF’s California cases.
