Employment Background

Before joining Gerson Law in October 2025, Ms. Rodriguez developed a strong foundation in commercial finance, bankruptcy, and commercial civil litigation. She began her career at an AMLaw 200 firm in San Diego, where she represented trustees and creditors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases in federal court. Her experience also includes serving as outside counsel for national and local banks and credit unions, as well as handling complex commercial civil litigation in state court.

Ms. Rodriguez’s commitment to public service is reflected in her role as a leading member of the Multi-Agency Charter School Audit Task Force, where she collaborated with the California State Controller and the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office to improve charter school operations and prevent fraud and mismanagement of state funds.

  • Ms. Rodriguez earned numerous academic honors, including the CALI Excellence for the Future Award, Witkin Award, and Jefferson Medal. She was an active leader in student organizations, serving as President of the La Raza Law Students Association and holding roles in Moot Court Honor Society and the Student Bar Association. Her article, Externships During the Height of the Pandemic, was published in the San Diego County Bar Association’s March/April 2021 edition.
  • Outside of work, Ms. Rodriguez enjoys live music, cheering on the Padres and Aztecs, and exploring new restaurants with friends and family.
